Questions people ask.
What the audit is, what it costs, what happens to your answers, and what comes after it.
The audit
What is the F.A.I.T.H. AI Stewardship Audit?
It is a free, twenty-question reflection on how you actually work: where avoidable friction is eating your week, where AI could genuinely help, and what should stay in human hands. At the end you get a profile across five dimensions, along with your strongest practice and your clearest opportunity. Start the audit.
What does F.A.I.T.H. stand for?
Friction, Augmentation, Integrity, Time, and Human. Each one is a question worth asking before you hand work to a tool, and the audit scores four statements against each.
How long does it take?
About five minutes. Twenty short statements, four in each category, and you answer each on a scale from Never to Consistently. There is nothing to prepare and no right answer to work out.
Is it really free?
Yes. No cost, no card, and no trial that turns into a subscription.
Do I have to give my email address?
Not to see your profile. Your five-dimension result, your strongest practice, and your best opportunity for AI are all readable without entering anything. Adding your email unlocks the rest: the stewardship challenge behind your result, one concrete action for the week ahead, and all five dimensions read in full. You will also get occasional stewardship notes, and every one of them has a one-click unsubscribe.
Is this a test of how faithful I am?
No. There is no score, no leaderboard, and no faithfulness percentage. It is a profile, not a grade, and it is built to help you notice one real tension and act on it.
Do I need to know anything about AI to take it?
No. The questions are about your week, not about technology. You can answer every one of them without having used an AI tool at all.
Where do my answers go?
Your individual answers never leave your browser. The site's own statistics note how far you got and which categories came out as your strength and opportunity, under a code that changes every day and does not identify you. If you add your email to unlock the full plan, your email and your five category results, not your answers, are sent to Dave so he can understand your profile, and that day's statistics may be linked to them. See the privacy notice for details.
Can I change my answers or start over?
Yes. Use the Retake audit control at the end and it clears your saved answers and returns the audit to its starting state.
Can I keep a copy of my results?
Yes. Once your plan is unlocked there is a print-or-save control, so you can keep the profile as a PDF or on paper.
| Letter | Dimension | The question it asks |
|---|---|---|
| F | Friction | What unnecessary work is consuming the capacity you have been given? |
| A | Augmentation | Where could AI extend your ability without replacing your judgment? |
| I | Integrity | What standards of review, disclosure, and accountability should guide you? |
| T | Time | What is recovered time actually for? |
| H | Human | Which responsibilities and relationships should remain human? |
Working together
What happens after the audit?
For most people, nothing. The audit is designed to be genuinely useful on its own, and many need nothing beyond it. If you want help acting on the result, there are four steps from a fifteen-minute action session up to a built and integrated workflow. See the ways to work together.
What does it cost to work together?
The audit is free. Beyond that, a focused action session, a deeper workflow audit, and full implementation each have their own price, listed on the Work with me page.
Will you just tell me to automate everything?
No, and that is the point. Sometimes the responsible recommendation is to leave a thing alone, because the task is how someone on your team is learning judgment, or because the work carries its value in the doing. The aim is the right next step, which is sometimes no new tool at all.
Faithful Intelligence
Who is behind this?
Me. I'm Dave Birnie, and I lead IT and facilities for my full-time employer across multiple locations, run an AI consulting company with my business partner Brendan, and build software, music, and ministry projects in the early hours. I am a husband and a father of three.
Do I have to be a Christian for this to be useful?
No. The questions are practical ones about attention, responsibility, and judgment, and they work whatever you believe. The framing here is openly Christian, because that is the tradition the stewardship language comes from, and you are welcome to take the questions and leave the framing.
What do you write about, and how often?
Weekly, on what faithful use of AI actually looks like in ordinary work and family life. It is written in real time rather than from a finished position. Read the blog.
