Privacy notice
Last updated 6 October 2026.
The short version
- Stays on your device: your individual audit answers. They are never sent to us.
- Counted without knowing who you are: which pages are read, how far people get through the audit, and which categories come out as their strength and opportunity. This uses a code that changes every day and cannot be turned back into you. No cookie is set for it.
- Linked to you only when you give your email address (to unlock your audit plan, get a download, buy something, or send a message): your address and what you gave it for. For the audit plan, that includes your five category results, not your answers. That day’s site statistics may be linked to it too.
- Never: Google Analytics, advertising networks, or recordings of what you type. Card details go to Stripe and never reach this site.
- Your choices: every stewardship note has a one-click unsubscribe, you can ask for your details to be removed at any time, and a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal turns the statistics off.
The details follow.
Audit answers
The F.A.I.T.H. AI Stewardship Audit runs entirely in your browser. Your answers and your resulting profile are saved in your browser’s local storage so you can close the page and come back to it. Individual answers are not transmitted. Signing up shares the category results described below. Clearing your browser data, or pressing Retake audit, removes the local copy but does not delete a profile already shared with us.
Email addresses
If you enter your email address to unlock your audit plan, we store that address together with the date and the page it came from, your category results, and your IP address. Your plan opens on the page; submitting this form does not currently send an automatic email. Signup is for occasional notes about faithful AI stewardship. You can request removal through the contact page at any time.
Purchases
Payments are taken by Stripe; card details never reach this site. When you buy something we keep a record of the order: what you bought, the price, the date, and the email address you gave at checkout. We email you a download link at that address, and if you ask for a fresh one on the Lost your download? page we email it there too. To stop that page being misused, we note each request with a scrambled code made from the address and from your network address, which cannot be turned back into either. Those notes are used for nothing else, and are cleared away once they are two days old, the next time anyone uses the page.
Your purchase email includes a link to review what you bought. If you use it, we keep your rating, your words, the name you choose to show, the date, and the order it belongs to. A review appears on the product page only after it has been read and approved, with the name you chose. Your email address is never shown. You can edit your review from the same link, or ask for it to be removed.
Remembering you on this device
When you give your email address for a free download, the audit, a message, a fresh download link, or a purchase, this device remembers you for about a year so you do not have to type it again. That takes one cookie. It holds a random code and a signature, never your email address. The code points to a small record on our server that holds your address, what you got on this device, and when the record runs out. The cookie cannot be read by scripts on the page and is only ever sent to this site.
While a device remembers you, a free download starts with one click, your address is passed to Stripe so checkout is already filled in, and My downloads lists what you have had. Wherever your address is shown, press Not you? and the device forgets you, the cookie and the record both. Records that have run out are deleted.
On a new device, My downloads sends a sign-in link to your inbox. It works once, within an hour. Requests for one are noted with the same scrambled codes as on the Lost your download? page, and cleared away once they are two days old.
Sale announcements
When a sale is on, a short banner runs across the top of the site. If you close it, your browser remembers that you closed that one sale, in its own storage on your device, so it does not come back on every page. Nothing about it is sent to us.
Contact messages
When you send a message through the contact form we store your name, email address, subject, and message so we can reply. Messages are kept while the conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted.
Site statistics
We measure how the site is used so we can improve it: which pages are read, how far people get through the audit, the categories marked as your strength and opportunity, and whether the contact form works properly. When analytics is enabled, a form submission may link that day’s site activity to your client record. This is measured by our own server. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising network, and no third party involved.
Nothing is stored on your device for this. No cookie is set and nothing is written to your browser's storage, which is why this site has no cookie banner. Instead, visits are counted using a one-way scrambled code made from your network address and browser, mixed with a secret held on our server and with today's date. Your IP address itself is never written into these statistics, the code cannot be turned back into your address, and because the date is part of it the code changes every midnight, so the same person cannot be recognised from one day to the next.
If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, nothing is recorded at all. Automated traffic such as search engine crawlers is filtered out, and these statistics are deleted automatically after around thirteen months.
The one exception to storing nothing on your device: if you ask to be left out of these statistics altogether, we remember that with a single small cookie holding nothing but the fact that you asked. It is the only way to remember the request without identifying you.
Campaigns and reading engagement
We record valid campaign labels (utm_source, utm_medium, and utm_campaign), whether a page was visible for at least 30 seconds, and whether at least 75% of an article came into view. We also record signup failures and server-confirmed signups. These help us understand which articles and shared links are useful. We do not record keystrokes, form contents, screenshots, or session replays in analytics. Campaign tracking adds no cookies or browser storage. Attribution is limited to the first recorded page for that daily visitor code.
Linking your audit results to your email
If you unlock your audit plan with your email address, we store the profile you were shown alongside it, so that, if you get in touch later, we can understand what you were working on. The individual answers you gave stay on your device and are not sent to us.
Technical information
Like nearly all websites, this site runs on a web server that keeps standard access logs, which may include your IP address, the pages you requested, and your browser type. We also record the IP address alongside form submissions to help identify automated abuse. A session cookie is used only where it is needed to make a form work securely, and never for advertising or tracking. The cookie that remembers you on your device, described above, is never used for advertising or tracking either.
Sharing
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the site and send email, and only to the extent required to provide that service, or where the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us through the contact page and we will respond.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
